Completion Reports: How to Track Team, Group, and User Progress
The Reports section provides data on course completions and learning activity across your teams and groups. These reports help you track progress, identify engagement trends, and measure learning outcomes.
Accessing Reports
Navigate to Admin > Reports in the sidebar. The Reports page is organized into three tabs.
Team Completions Tab
The Team Completions report shows completion data aggregated by team.
What you'll see:
- A table listing each team with completion statistics
- Team name and associated metrics
- Number of enrollments vs completions per team
- Completion rates as percentages
Use this report to:
- Compare completion rates across teams
- Identify teams with low engagement that may need intervention
- Track team-level progress over time
Filtering:
- Filter by date range to focus on a specific period
- Search for specific teams
- Sort columns by clicking headers
Group Completions Tab
The Group Completions report shows completion data organized by Thinkific groups.
What you'll see:
- Each group listed with completion statistics
- Group name, member count, and enrollment data
- Completion counts and rates per group
- Sync status information
Use this report to:
- Evaluate how different groups are performing
- Compare groups that share the same course content
- Identify groups that may need additional support
Filtering:
- Filter by date range
- Search for specific groups
- Sort by any column
Completion Report Tab
The Completion Report provides a detailed, user-level view of completion activity.
What you'll see:
- Individual user completion records
- User name and email
- Course or product completed
- Completion date and timestamp
- Time taken to complete (if available)
Use this report to:
- View granular completion data for individual users
- Export completion records for external reporting
- Verify specific user completions
Filtering:
- Filter by date range
- Search by user name or email
- Filter by course or product
- Filter by completion status
Exporting Reports
Each report tab includes an export option. Click the Export button to download the current report data as a CSV file. The export includes all data matching your current filters.
Best Practices
- Use date range filters to focus on specific reporting periods
- Export data regularly for external analysis or record-keeping
- Cross-reference team and group reports to identify systemic issues
- Use the detailed Completion Report for individual verification
