Short Links: How to Create Trackable Links and QR Codes

Short Links provide shareable URLs that can be tracked for click analytics. They are useful for marketing campaigns, course invitations, and any scenario where you need to measure engagement with shared links.

Navigate to Admin > Links in the sidebar. The Links page displays a table with the following columns:

  • Name — The link's display name for internal reference
  • Link — The short URL, which can be copied with a single click
  • Enabled — Toggle to activate or deactivate the link
  • Clicks — Total number of clicks on the link
  • Created At — When the link was created
  • Actions — View or delete the link

Click the Copy button next to any link URL to copy it to your clipboard. The short URL is ready to share immediately.

  1. Click the Add Link button to open the flyout panel
  2. Enter:
    • Name — An internal name to identify this link
    • Destination URL — Where the link should redirect to
  3. Click Save

The link is immediately available and can be enabled or disabled as needed.

Click a link name or the View button to open the link detail view:

Configuration Tab

  • Name — Edit the link name inline
  • Destination URL — Update where the link points
  • Enabled — Toggle the link on or off
  • QR Code — Download a QR code for this link (useful for print materials or offline sharing)
  • Danger Zone — Delete the link

Activity Tab

The Activity tab provides click analytics:

  • Browser — Which browser was used when clicking the link
  • Device — Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Referrer — Where the user came from when clicking
  • Visit Time — Timestamp of each click

This data helps you understand how your links are being used and where traffic is coming from.

You can disable a link without deleting it:

  1. On the Links table, toggle the Enabled switch off
  2. The link will no longer redirect users
  3. Toggle it back on to re-enable

This is useful for time-limited campaigns or when a link needs to be temporarily paused.

Downloading QR Codes

Each link can generate a QR code for offline distribution:

  1. Open the link detail view
  2. Go to the Configuration tab
  3. Click Download QR Code
  4. The QR code image is downloaded and ready to print or share
