Getting Started: Connecting WooCommerce to Thinkific

Before getting started, confirm the following:

  • WooCommerce 8.5 or above is installed.
  • Your site is running PHP 8.1 or above.
    • Note: Earlier versions of this documentation indicated that PHP 8.0 was supported. 8.0 is no longer supported, and we strongly recommend upgrading to 8.1 or above in accordance with the PHP release schedule.
  • Your Thinkific Plan supports the Public REST API. At the time of writing, this is the Grow plan or higherIf you are unsure about API access, you should confirm with Thinkfiic Support before making a purchase.

Important: You must confirm the above requirements are met by your site and Thinkific before purchasing and installing the plugin. We do not grant refunds for sites that do not meet our minimum requirement criteria.

  1. Download and Install the plugin in WordPress
  2. When prompt, enter your license key as contained in your order confirmation email
  3. Navigate to WooCommerceSettings then Thinkific Extension by WooNinja (See image below)
  4. Open Thinkific, and retrieve your API key and subdomainClick here for instructions on where to find these details. Enter these details in the appropriate spaces, then scroll to the end of the page and click Save.
  5. Verify the Thinkific API is connected, and your license key is valid.

Top Tip: Now would be a good time to review the settings of the plugin and ensure they are set up to your liking.
