How to add a student to a Thinkific Group using WooCommerce
When a student purchases a course or bundle in WooCommerce, they can be added to a Thinkific Group. This applies to orders, subscriptions, B2B additions and coupons. In the case of coupons, only one group will be used.
- Create or open a product on WooCommerce, check Thinkific and click the Thinkific tab.
- Enter the Thinkific group you want to apply to the purchase
- Don’t forget to click Update when you are finished to save your settings.
In this example, anyone who purchases this product in WooCommerce will be added to Thinkific and enrolled in the ‘Accounting Course’ Furthermore, they will be placed in the ‘WooNinja Unit Test’ and ‘WooNinja B2B Dashboard Demo’ groups on Thinkific.
Important: The group applied will be the group set in the product when the user is enrolled in the course. Therefore, it is recommended not to change the groups as this will only influence future orders, not past orders, or orders that were made previously but enrollments not yet created e.g. Coupons, B2B
