Thinkific Benchmarks, Actions & Settings

Benchmarks

When you have installed and activated your Thinkific Extension for Groundhogg, you will see the following benchmarks:

Important: You must set up your Thinkific webhooks as outlined here prior to using these benchmarks.

User Sign Up

Runs when a user signs up for your school.

User Sign In

Runs when anyone, or only students, sign into your school. Note, this benchmark will run every time a user signs in.

Enrollment Created

You can select from the following options:

• Any enrollment is created
• Any paid enrollment is created
• Any free trial enrollment is created
• Any paid or free trial enrollment is created for specific course ID(s)

Note: This benchmark will run if you use the Create Enrollment action as part of this extension.

Enrollment Trial

You can select from the following options:

• Any enrollment trial is created.
• An enrollment trial is created for a specific course ID(s)

Enrollment Progress

You can select from the following:

• Any enrollment progress is updated.
• Any enrollment progress for specific course ID(s) is updated.

You must also set the percentage at which the benchmark will trigger e.g. 30 for 30%

Enrollment Completed

You can select from the following:

• Any course is completed.
• Any specific course ID(s) is completed.

Order Created

You can select from any of the following:

• Any course is purchased
• Any specific course ID(s) is purchased

Actions

You can choose from any of the following actions once you have installed the Thinkfic integration for Groundhogg:

Create User

This creates a User in Thinkific. You can optionally specify whether to set the users password, or have Thinkific generate one for you. Furthermore, you can disable the welcome email from Thinkific.

Create Enrollment

This action enrols, or adds, a user to a given course ID(s). By setting the Days to Enrollment, you can choose the days from now that a user is enrolled. For example, if you entered 3 in this box, the user would enrol in the course 3 days from when this action was triggered. If you enter zero, the user will be immediately enrolled.

In the Days to Expiry, you can set an expiry date for the course. For example, entering 365 would mean a user would lose access 365 days from the day of enrollment. If you enter zero, the enrollment will never expire and the student never loose access.

Remove Enrollment

When triggered, this action will remove a user from the given course ID(s)

Settings

In the Thinkific Settings section of Groundhogg, you will find the following settings:

API Key: This is your Thinkific API Key

Thinkific Subdomain: This is your original Thinkfic subdomain e.g. myschool.thinkific.com, then your subdomain is my-school

Verify Webhooks: For security, you should enable this. It ensures any webhook coming to your site is genuine and from Thinkfic.

Tag Users By Course Name: Our extension can automatically tag your students by the course name in Groundhogg as their enrollment is created.
